WHEN AMBITION GOES CRAZY

Ambition can be such a wonderful thing but then anything that has an upside also has an ugly downside, that was the case of Austrian born french tailor. Franz Reichelt who prided himself as the 'The Flying Tailor' who defied all warnings and pleadings to use a dummy to test his parachute, actually he did use a dummy, he used himself and after announcing to the press of his daredevil act, he arrogantly told his critics, 'You are going to see how my seventy-two kilos and my parachute will give your arguments the most decisive of denials'. Eventually he jumps from the 187 ft tool Eiffel Tower crushing his right arm and leg, breaking his skull and spine bleeding from nose, mouth and ears. The cheers of joy turned to screams of horror as he was rushed to the Necker Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The lesson here is that when building castles in the sky let the foundations be on the earth or before getting your head caught in the clouds make sure your feet are solidly on the ground.
