THE QUEEN WHO LOST ALL THAT SHE HAD WON

She was the physical fulfillment of the expression, 'The All American Super Athlete', she was adored by millions of not just her countrymen but fans from all over the world. 'All Hail The Queen' they must have said in their hearts and in the open air where they talked about her. Not only was she an A-list athlete, she was also a worthy ambassador of her nation and big earning brand ambassador of companies who could not resist her combination of charm and charisma.
Then her world of admiration came crumbling like a pack of cards when she was accused of doping allegations, allegations which she had always denied. Then came the moment of truth that left us all stunned even till this day, our queen of the track finally admitted to the use of performance enhancing drugs. While the world was still reeling from the punch of her bad behaviour, she was busted for fraud due to an involvement in a cheque counterfeiting scheme which saw her going behind bars for six months. After paying her debt to society, she played basketball in the WNBA for the Tulsa Shock but the damage had been done for though she was a good player, she was no longer the queen that was once admired. She was a shadow of her former self
A word for the wise who are reading this article, the moment of victory is also the moment of peril, if what you were about to do now is published in the papers tomorrow, would you be proud of it? One thing is most important than talent which is never enough, character, that person who behaves or misbehaves when no one is around. Your character will be long remembered when your talents have long worn off and what will you be remembered for, the problems you solved or the ones you created? The choice is solely up to you.

THE FATHERLESS SON WHO BECAME A HOLLYWOOD STAR

He was a three year old when his father left never to return, a harrowing experience for a child at that age to grow without a father figure around. He grew up to become a young man that struggled with dyslexia making schooling difficult for him as he attended four different high schools, leaving the final one without a diploma. After losing a child which was a stillborn, his love who left him died in a car accident leaving him in a state of devastation yet he decided he was going to stick through it with a head held high rather than hung in defeat. He is an A-list actor with many top shot movies under his belt, like the popular Matrix franchise, Devil's Advocate, Constantine, Speed and so many other top ranked movies. Despite being $100 million dollars in net worth as a Hollywood star, he doesn't wear fancy clothes, does not have bodyguards and enjoys taking the subway. He needs no further introduction for he is Keanu Reeves who played the role of 'Neo' in the Matrix franchise.
I am talking to that man or woman who has undergone many tragic occurrences, I am talking to that child who has no parents and struggling to survive, I am talking to that man who has just lost his job for no fault of his own wondering where the next meal would come from and to that young woman who was dumped by that man whom the whole world thought would be getting married. I am not denying the fact that you are not going through pain of tragedy, I have had mine like going through several incidents of betrayal by those I called loved ones or walking a long way home on a cold and dark night on an empty stomach with no money in either of my pockets. What I would admonish is that never let the tragedy around you become a tragedy within you. There is hope for you reading this and I mean that with every fibre of my being just like that cold and bitter winter gives birth to warm and wonderful spring and summer. Then yours will be a story to help others out of the valley to the mountain top where you will be soon. To your success

THE STOLEN BICYCLE INCIDENT THAT MADE A BOY THE WORLD'S GREATEST BOXER

In the month of October 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky a young boy of twelve reported the theft of his bicycle to a police officer, Joe Martin promising to pummel the culprit when he laid his hands on whoever it was. The police officer who was also a boxing trainer suggested to the upset teenager to first of all learn how to fight because in his own wisdom, it is one thing to be angry and it is another thing to know how to fight. He gladly took the youngster under his wing and trained and six weeks later he won his first fight
This teenager as an amateur boxer fought 105 fights losing only five and winning the remaining 100 as if that was not enough in the Rome Olympics at the age of eighteen won the Olympic gold in the boxing event defeating all his opponents along the way. Four years after that memorable event, he defeated the boxing champion, Sonny Liston. He went on to become the 'World's Greatest' boxer after many memorable fights like 'Fight of The Century', Rumble In The Jungle and A Thrilla In Manila. He even after retirement remains the 'King of The Ring' he is no other person than Muhammad Ali.
Someone said that, A successful man is the one who has built a house with the bricks that others have thrown at him'. All this success came via the incident of a stolen bicycle. Friend, adversity will not leave you the way it found you, it will make you either better or worse but the choice is yours. Young Cassius Clay, the name he was known then could have ignored the wisdom of his trainer and gone for revenge which would have gotten him beat up or in trouble if he really pounded the thief who stole his bicycle. When faced with adversity, rather than react negatively, act positively for Napoleon Hill said 'In every adversity is the seed of equal or greater benefit.
