WHAT WILL BE YOUR LEGACY?

Steve Jobs left us a legacy of I phones I pads and Macintosh which we gladly use today. Dr Myles Munroe left us a legacy of rising to our fullest potentials and being the best leaders God had ordained us to be. Otunba Ghaddafi left behind him a legacy of mobile toilets changing the face of how we answer the call of nature. The books Napoleon Hill and Og Mandino have written continue to inspire millions of people to success though they are no more alive yet they live on in the pages of the books they left behind.
The Wright Brothers proved their critics wrong by creating a legacy of aeroplanes, one legacy which will continue to live on for years as various versions of their invention are being made everyday.
Now Stop! Right where you are ponder and ask yourself that simple question "What will be my legacy to the world? What will I leave behind for others to remember me for?"
Dr Mike Murdock said something remarkable, "The world will remember you for two things, the problems you solved or the ones you created" A wise woman said "What matters in life is not one's duration but one's donation'. I remember ace comedian, Gbenga Adeboye popularly known as Funwontan who I enjoyed listening to as a little boy on radio. On April 27th 2003, Gbenga Adeboye passed on at the tender age of forty-five with the whole nation thrown into a state of heavy mourning like he were a president yet he touched lives with his comic talent in more ways than one. Comedians have come and gone yet none can be matched with his type of prowess in the area of humour.
Another wise woman said, ' An inheritance is what we get from others while a legacy is what others get from us.
Again I ask that question, what will be your legacy that you will leave behind others? This question is not meant to scare you rather it is meant to make you ponder on what you would want the world to remember you for because everyday we live, we plant our feet in the sands of time and years after our time on earth is over people will trace our footsteps but the million dollar question is will our footsteps lead to a place worthy to be emulated or will it lead to a place that will lead many astray?
Now I ask you that will you leave behind a legacy for others or will you merely be satisfied with the legacy others left behind for you.
You can leave behind a legacy by living everyday like it is your last and by giving your best to whatever task that is before you.
